French Bulldog

The French Bulldog actually started out in England. They became popular with lace makers in the 1800s. Many lace makers moved to France with their miniature Bulldogs where they were bred with other dogs and got their trademark bat ears. They eventually became popular in Paris as a city dog and then spread across Europe and America.
