Hello! My name is Shaina. I have been around animals my entire life. My family always had pets growing up. The first pets that I owned and had to take care of myself were a pair of turtles when I was 7 years old and I had them all through high school. I have owned many other critters as well.

I love reading about all kinds of animals and learning how to better take care of my own pets. I am a bit of a nerd and enjoy doing tons of research about a pet before I get one. Most times, I end up not getting the pet due to realizing with my research that I do not have the space, time, or money to properly care for it.

There are so many animals I would love to have for pets, but obviously it is not possible unless I become rich and own an actual zoo (maybe it will happen!), and some are just not meant to be pets. As animal lovers, I’m sure many of you may feel the same!

I realized I really enjoy the research and learning about animals, so I decided to share what I learn and my love of all critters with the world by starting this blog/website.

My goal for this website is to share with you information on caring for your pets, interesting information about different wildlife, and places to visit where you can see animals in person such as zoos and aquariums or in their native habitat in the wild.

I will be sharing information on all kinds of critters as I am interested in them all, and I have no phobias when it comes to animals.
